How’s this for a design brief: “I want a 9 car garage and be able to enjoy viewing one of them in the living room.”
What do you get? You get a Lamborghini in the living room is what you get.
There are car enthusiasts drooling right now at the idea that they could share valuable living space with their prized muscle car without having to bunk out in the garage. Even better, this is not a concept.
Japanese designer Takuya Tsuchida told a bold leap in creating a very clever solution in space-constricted Tokyo. Built on a plot of 2,000-square feet, this home in the Fukushima Prefecture has a floor that lowers into the garage below. The owner then parks whichever supercar he likes on it, before raising it into the living space above.
The ladies might not be all that impressed but how many guys wouldn’t like gazing lovingly at their Lamborghini Countach Anniversary Edition from the living room sofa? Wait until Jay Leno sees this – he’ll want two.
Some great shots of the home below – which is quite stunning in its own right.

OMG that is obscene! I wonder who would actually come up with and what his wife has to say about it :p
OK, the house I grew up in was NOT nearly that cool however my old man was hobby road racer and our family room was 24′x30′ on the ground level with a double french door that could be opened to get vehicles through. We regularly had either a Corvette split window coupe, a 1969 trans-am spec Camaro (I wish he had kept that one!) or a Porsche 356.
He had a wet bar near it and would place stools around the cars. During parties it would be covered with drinks!
